Example Analysis: iPhone Photo With EXIF Metadata
This example illustrates a file with intact camera metadata, normal-looking image structure, and no strong generation signal. It is not proof of authenticity by itself, but it shows how multiple supportive signals can line up.
Signals observed
- Camera make and model present
- Exposure-related metadata present
- No strong AI-generation flag
- No obvious reverse-search reuse signal in the example case
How to interpret it
Intact iPhone metadata is consistent with a real camera capture workflow. That matters because many generated images and resaved screenshots do not preserve that kind of device-level information.
Even so, metadata alone should not be treated as proof. The useful takeaway is that the signals are supportive rather than conflicting.
